"Between heaven and earth - In the footsteps of Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner":

Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner was born in hospital and is the first woman to have climbed all fourteen eight-thousanders without supplemental oxygen. She is the patron of the museum.

Numerous films, photos and items of equipment provide an insight into a bizarre and life-threatening landscape. Feel the weather on the world's highest mountains for yourself in the experience room and experience the dangers and effects of avalanches at first hand.

Audio stations and a personal diary provide an insight into the thoughts and experiences of one of the world's best female mountaineers.

During the tour, you will learn details about the first ascents of the world's highest mountains, get a precise picture of the necessary equipment and the course of an expedition and gain insights into Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner's motivations and diary.

The guided tour in German on 14 May 2024 at 14:00 is free of charge for all visitors.

Admission is free for Pyhrn-Priel Card holders. Admission and discounts according to the current tariff list.
