Thunderballs, the Austrian AC/DC cover band, was founded at the end of 2004. The aim was to play the hits of the Australian rock band to reproduce it as authentically as possible and to implement the explosive stage show of the timeless legends true to the original, which was already the case with the Live premiere on March 17, 2005 at Planet Music in Vienna was successful. Over the years, Thunderballs' reputation has grown nationally also internationally, as one of the best Acca Dacca tribute bands. The uncompromising rhythm section consisting of Gernot Weller (drums) and Stephan Först (bass) provides the foundation for the bone-dry riffs by Marcus Pristernik (rhythm guitar) and Martin Kohlmann (lead guitar) was skillfully pulled out of his sleeve. Günter Prangl, who is considered one of the best rock shouters in the country and knows how to impress both vocally and as a frontman, is responsible for the vocals. Together with Martin, who mimes Angus Young in his school uniform and authentically reels off his blues-soaked licks, he is the eye-catcher of the show. The The band's repertoire consists of equal parts of the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras. A show combines all elements of an AC/DC concert: When Martin duck-walks from one end of the stage to the other, Günter sings the choruses with Stephan and Marcus and Gernot counts the numbers with hidden swing on the hi-hat, then you can only say: Let there be rock !
