The biathlon and cross-country arena Pyhrn-Priel - Rosenau am Hengstpaß at the foot of the horse passport - and therefore in a unique natural idyll of the Limestone National Park - has become especially as the venue for many national and international sporting events in biathlon, such as the European Championships in 1997 known ,
In addition to the classic cross-country ski runs and skating tracks, there is a competence center for Nordic winter sports in the biathlon and cross-country skiing arena. Hobby and international top athletes in biathlon train side by side on a good 15 kilometers of well-groomed cross-country ski trails, some of which are covered with snow.
A modern shooting range with 26 shooting ranges and a plant building complete the area.
Due to the fact that snow is guaranteed in the valley and the possibility of artificially snowing some of the trails, the biathlon and cross-country skiing arena Pyhrn-Priel - Rosenau am Hengstpass is one of the most snow-sure trails in Upper Austria.
In the biathlon and cross-country skiing arena Pyhrn-Priel - Rosenau am Hengstpass there is also a summer operation.
