When the first snow covers the mountains and the day is still young, an impressive natural spectacle begins high up in the Gamsgebirg': the chamois rut. In their shiny winter coats, the animals stand out clearly against the bright background - a rarely seen sight. The bucks now fight for their place in the herd, defend their claims and engage in wild chases over steep rock faces.

You set off early in the morning with a national park ranger to observe the shy animals in their natural behavior. You then return to Villa Sonnwend, where a hearty breakfast awaits you - and time to reflect on the impressions of the stalking in peace and quiet.

Good physical condition and surefootedness required, even in snow and in the dark. Pure walking time approx. 2 hours (350 meters in altitude), total duration of the tour approx. 4.5 hours.

Mountain boots, warm, weatherproof clothing and headlamp required. A seat pad and binoculars are recommended.

General cancellation conditions:

The Austrian hotel regulations apply, our general cancellation conditions are as follows:
Up to 28 days before arrival there are no cancellation costs. Between 21-27 days before arrival we charge 50% of the total package price, between 14-20 days we charge 70%, between 7-13 days 80% and from 6 days before arrival 90% of the total booked package.
In general, cancellations of reservations are only accepted in writing.
The right of cancellation according to §18 Abs. 1Z. 10 FAGG does not apply, but our general cancellation conditions apply as described above.
