The alpine hut is open from May 1 to October 26. Tuesday is a rest day. The furnishings of the kitchen, guest room, and the rooms are very simple. We have no connection to the power grid. There is only a small solar power system with storage that provides a little lighting in the evenings. There are no electrical appliances. All warm meals are cooked with the wood stove. Life on the mountain is limited to the essentials. We and our guests experience how simply one can live. The breathtaking nature in the Kalkalpen National Park and the cozy evenings with the guests (often with music) make the stay at the Anlaufalm a special experience.

The mattress dormitory is a large room with 16 beds. There is a divider between some of the beds to create a certain level of privacy. The room is equipped with a timer for the room lighting. The dormitory is located on the 1st floor of the main building.

Accessibility / arrival

The Anlaufalm is not accessible by car. The shortest hike to the Alm takes about 1.5 hours. The starting point is the village of Bunnbach in the municipality of Großraming. We can be reached by bike from Großraming or Reichraming.
