The parish church of St. Jakob Windischgarsten was consecrated on August 14, 1462. It has undergone many changes over the centuries.

The last major interior renovation was in 1992 and the entire church spire had to be replaced in 2019.

Particularly worth seeing in the parish church of St. Jakob Windischgarsten are the altars and the pulpit, the Marian chapel as an adoration chapel, the organ and the Schoiswohl cross as well as the Psalm path, the Lourdes grotto and the war memorial outside.
