Program change Hinterstoder 2020: Kombi instead of RTL

Alpine Ski World Cup | Hinterstoder 2020 | February 29 - March 1, 2020

As part of the Spring Conference of the International Ski Federation FIS, the dates of all World Cup events of the upcoming 2019/20 season were fixed and officially handed over to the organizers. For the Heimweltcuprennen on 29 February and 01 March 2020 in Hinterstoder / Upper Austria the conference brought an innovation. Instead of the giant slalom Hinterstoder becomes the venue of the Alpine Combined in the new format, as it was also decided at the conference.

On the 1st of March, for the first time in Austria, an Alpine combination will take place, which has never happened before. In the new mode, the race starts with the slalom passage. The TOP 30 of the first race go in the second round in a fallen order in the Super-G.

"We are proud to be part of this new innovative format. With the first edition of a World Cup slalom in Hinterstoder, the Hannes Trinkl World Cup track shows us a new face and how versatile it can be. The change of the format will make the Alpine combination more compact and therefore more exciting ", says OK boss Herwig Grabner about the addition of the station wagon. "With Wengen and Bormio, who will also run an Alpine Combined, we are in the round of big World Cup cake with a long history," continues Grabner. "

Due to the change of Herwig Grabner to the head of the Organizing Committee of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup races in Hinterstoder 2020, his former position of OK Press Officer will be taken over by Christoph Malzer.
