Windischgarsten local history museum

In addition to remarkable finds from the Roman period, the former wire train contains objects from civil and rural culture, tools from craftsmen and woodcutters, an old classroom with many teaching aids from the past, a regional stone exhibition, historical costumes and much more.

A special exhibition with regional themes is also organized every year.

Private: A9 - exit Roßleithen - drive through Windischgarsten - direction Rosenau am Hengstpass (300m) before the UNION tennis courts on the right.

Public: By bus - lines 430, 431, 434, 435, 436 or 911 to the Windischgarsten Kirchenplatz stop - walking time approx. 5 minutes

• Wednesday from 3 - 5 pm
• Sunday from 10 am - 12 pm

Group tours are possible by prior arrangement!
