Sink into the panorama of the Alps.

This lama tour takes us on wild paths through the forest, where we learn to be careful with fascinating animals and nature. The woolly companions show us how to move safely on the terrain and lead us to the wonderful panorama of the three nature reserves Kalkalpen, Warscheneck and Totes Gebirge. Groups of children take the Llamero exam and make friendship bracelets from llama wool.
The UNESCO-awarded lama project is now available in the national park community of Vorderstoder and the hike begins at an altitude of 1000m. We are on foot through the forest for a good hour of pure walking time with a magical view of three nature reserves.

Elisabeth Nieskens, the author, herbalist and Austrian state champion in the dog sled race, takes children, families and school groups on an extraordinary experience of nature. At the beginning of the tour we get to know the animals, observe their behavior, the hierarchy in the herd and try out the correct leadership technique. We use body language as a means of communication and practice clear commands with our voice. Does the lama understand what I want and what is the lama telling me?

We complete the LLAMERO driver's license and go out into the forest with the packed animals, where we test our dexterity and practice surefootedness together with the llamas in the rough terrain. In addition, we train our perception on an obstacle course in the middle of the forest. We collect delicacies for our animals and learn all kinds of interesting facts about edible plants and herbs of the forest in old fairy tales and legends.

After a steep ascent, we are rewarded with a wonderful all-round view of the three protected areas and we hike back on the forest road strengthened with fresh spring water and a small snack. We still have time to look after the animals on the llama pasture. Finally, we make friendship bracelets out of llama wool and celebrate the LLAMERO driver's license.
