On Sunday, September 10th, 2017 all are invited and invited to inform themselves about the world nature reserve forests in the national park Kalkalpen. The National Park Administration invites you to lectures and excursions to the Welterbe area.
Hike with us the only natural world heritage in Austria! The natural beech forests in the Kalkalpen National Park are so extraordinary because there are only a few remains in Europe: 85 percent of the original red beech forests have been cut down. In the Kalkalpen National Park and in the Dürrenstein wilderness area, these valuable old beech forests were recognized by UNESCO as Austria's first world natural heritage site.
Time & duration: 9.30 a.m. to approx. 1.30 p.m., walking time approx. 2 ½ hours
Fee: Adults € 14 / schoolchildren € 9 / family € 28
Equipment: sturdy shoes, event. small snack, camera recommended
Participants: maximum 12 people, minimum age 10 years
