Chairlift Wurbauerkogel

The chair lift leads from the village centre of Windischgarsten on top of the Wurbauerkogel mountain. From here you can enjoy stunning panoramic views.
With the chairlift you can easily reach the impressive Panoramaturm and the Bergrestaurant Wurbauerkogel, where you will be spoiled with special treats. The Bergstation Wurbauerkogel is an excellent starting point for hikers and hikers. Numerous hiking trails take you to the Kalkalpen National Park area. You can experience pure action on a speedy downhill ride with the Sommerrodelbahn or a downhill ride. The bicycles of all downhill specialists can of course be transported with the chairlift.
Included Service: Transport with sports equipment (bicycle, paraglider, ...) is not part of the service within the scope of transport with the Pyhrn-Priel AktivCard or SeasonCard. Please note the applicable tariffs.
May 6 to October 8, 2023 - continuous operation (subject to suspension of operations in bad weather)
Weekend operation: 07./08. October 2023
Additionally in good weather: 22./23. April, 29 April-1 May, 14th/15th October, October 21 - November 1, 2023 daily
Opening hours of the chairlift:
- from April to June 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (until May 7th only on weekends and public holidays)
- from June 25th to September 11th from 09:30 to 17:30
- from 12 September to 16 October 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (from 1 October only on weekends)
- Autumn break: October 22 to November 01, 2022 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m
Private: A9 - Roßleithen exit - towards Windischgarsten - town center or B138 to Windischgarsten.
Public: By bus - line 911, 434, 436 or 431 to the Windischgarsten Kirchenplatz stop - walking time approx. 5 minutes
